Ralph Abercromby
BVMS CertSAO MRCVS, RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Orthopedics

Ralph qualified in 1985. After a period in small practice, he spent 4 years at the veterinary schools in Edinburgh and London where he obtained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics.

Following this he joined Ridgeway Referrals, one of the first referral centres in the UK, before providing an orthopaedic referral service on the south coast.

Ralph has lectured extensively in the UK and abroad and has contributed a number of chapters to the BSAVA manuals covering all apects of orthopaedics.

He was awarded a travel grant to travel abroad to study arthroscopy and has been an examiner for the RCVS, most recently Chief Examiner for the Certificate in Small Animal Surgery.
