Orthopaedic referral services for vets across the South East
Our reputable, dedicated referral practice was established in 2005 and has been providing exemplary specialist care to pets and clients, whilst building strong relations.
The vision began when our founders Dr. Angus Anderson and Dr. Ralph Abercromby, two renowned veterinary surgeons, united to bring their dream of accessible, specialist care for local pets to life.
Our History
Anderson Abercromby’s doors were opened, and the journey began on the Surrey/Sussex border at the 1870 Building at Jayes Park. This attractive and bespoke converted farm building was the foundation for Angus and Ralph’s vision.
With a mobile CT and a visiting MRI scanner, the practice saw a multitude of orthopaedic and neurological referrals. Angus, Ralph and the team worked hard to provide a passionate and professional service, changing the outcome of the lives of many patients.
Amongst treating injured dogs and cats, Anderson Abercromby extended their services to a local charity, Wildlife Aid. Believing that all animals deserve a chance of recovery from injury, all creatures great and small, including birds of prey, foxes and badgers all entered the doors of Anderson Abercromby Veterinary Referrals.
Our practice has created a leading reputation delivering personalised and exceptional care, and in 2018 we were proud to join the VetPartners group of practices.

Time for a new location
The continued evolution of the practice paved an opportunity to move to a bigger premises – a significant milestone for Anderson Abercromby! The team waved a fond farewell to the charismatic founding practice and welcomed their fresh start at a newly converted, purpose-built centre at Dawes Farm, Warnham.
The new location continued to flaunt its countryside charm, situated amongst rolling fields of sheep and cattle, with a neighbouring equine practice, this was the perfect new site for the Anderson Abercromby team.
The expansion hosted brand new, modern, state of the art facilities, including three large operating theatres, that entered a new league of specialist standard.
