LEXI – Humeral Intercondylar Fissure (HIF)

Lexi the Springer Spaniel had an ongoing forelimb lameness for a duration of about 4 months.

Despite medication and rest there was little improvement, and she was still head bobbing and showing signs of lameness.

A CT scan was performed and showed a Humeral Intercondylar Fissure, which is a small crack in the bone which if left untreated could potentially cause a complete break.

A 3D guide of her leg from the CT images was created so that an accurate screw could be placed in the bone.
